The comparison between soft calendering and hard calendering has the following advantages: 1. The elasticity of the pressed paper is consistent, and a calendering roller with a high elastic deformation coefficient is generally 50 to 500 times softer than a steel roller. When the ductile roller presses the hard roller or cold quenched pig iron roller with a certain line, the total width of the pressing zone is much wider than when the steel roller contacts.


The peak pressure decreases with the final width of the pressure zone, and the contact surface is no longer a planar view. Along the angle of the steel roller, the total axial deformation of the steel roller decreases slightly (0.2% to 2%).


In the steel pressing area, if there are uneven soft spots on the paper, the working pressure will be uneven.


When there are too many thick soft spots or clumps on the paper entering the compression zone, the working pressure here will exceed the maximum number, while the surrounding area will be relatively low.


The overall result is that the high chemical fiber relative density area of the paper web is displayed in the low chemical fiber relative density area of the same paper thickness, while the latter type experiences a lower impact on the working pressure of the compression zone.

The thin area of the paper is in contact with the hot roller, and for the thick area, the thickness is not easily reduced. Such thin and thick areas can improve their small smoothness and remove pigment spots.

 

Ink printing has excellent absorption properties, as the elasticity of the paper page is not significant, and the thickness reduction is not significant. Therefore, the pressed paper has strong and uniform oil absorption properties.
